Updates in store for St. Louis Arch park
National Park Service will hold a contest for architects to get ideas for revitalizing the 91-acre grounds.

Improvements to the 1960s park surrounding Gateway Arch could include stronger pedestrian connections and a museum renovation.
ST. LOUIS — The shimmering Gateway Arch on the banks of the Mississippi River is St. Louis' calling card. But the iconic monument set off from the rest of the city is, well, set off from the rest of the city.
