SEATTLE — Seattle Public Utilities is requesting statements of qualifications from consultants for a study of the city's waste stream. Submittals are due by 2 p.m. on Nov. 13.
The study involves periodic sampling of the SPU waste stream over a year. The goal is obtain a detailed representation of what is in the waste stream. There are currently 100 categories of waste. The study results will show the percentage of those materials in the waste stream.
