This viaduct job is proceeding as planned
SDOT will open bids on June 24 for the second phase of the Spokane Street Viaduct. The main contract is expected to be worth $68 million to $80 million.
Workers last month installed the walls of a water-quality vault below South Spokane Street, just west of Sixth Avenue South to treat runoff. Construction of the vault was recently completed.
It's slow, cramped, traffic-choked and, thankfully, getting a big makeover.
