BELLEVUE — The Washington State Department of Transportation yesterday selected Guy F. Atkinson Construction to build the Interstate 405 “Bellevue Braids” project, which includes new freeway ramps that will resemble giant braids.
The contractor's Renton office submitted a $107.5 million bid for the design-build project. Construction is expected to begin early next year and be finished by the fall of 2012.
