What do local engineers make?

The American Council of Engineering Companies of Washington released its annual salary survey of consulting engineers. This year's survey found management salaries at engineering firms were down 7.5 to 10 percent on average.

Nearly 100 firms in Washington participated, reporting on more than 8,500 positions in eight categories. In addition to salary reporting, the survey includes data on health and retirement benefits, perks, and other corporate policies for non-salary compensation. Members of ACEC Washington that participate in the survey receive a complimentary copy, while non-members have the option of purchasing the survey at a reduced rate.
